Before the fuss
世界的な騒ぎが起きる直前の2020年2月、今となれば嵐の前の静けさといえるような、落ち着いた日常がベトナムにはあった。
たくさん花が飾られていて、日本よりも間違いなく、生活の一部として取り込まれている。
ベトナムにおいて、数十年前には食用の家畜とされていた犬達も、ほとんどが放し飼いで自由気ままにすごしていた。
明るい人もとても多く、平日の昼間から大人が歩道に集まってトランプで遊んでいて、中には仕事をせず、タクシー会社の制服を纏って騒いでいるグループもあった。
決して綺麗とは言い切れない街中で凛として咲く花と、どこか悲しげな表情をみせる犬たち、遊び尽くされて散り散りになっているトランプ。
彼らの生活の中で重要な役割をなしている、3つのピースをまとめた。
それぞれが色々な思いを抱えながらも、力強く、立ち向かっていけるように、平穏な日々へ願いを込めて。

Before the fuss
In February, just before the global uproar, there was a calmness in Vietnam, a calm before the storm.
There are a lot of flowers on display and they are definitely more integrated into our lives than in Japan.
In Vietnam, dogs, which were considered livestock for food a few decades ago, were mostly free-ranging and free-spirited.
There are so many bright people. Adults gathered on the sidewalk in broad daylight on weekdays to play cards. Some of the groups were dressed in taxi company uniforms and making a lot of noise.
A flower blooms dignifiedly in a city that can never be described as beautiful, a dog with a somehow sorrowful expression, and playing cards that have been played out and are scattered.
I've put together three pieces that play an important role in their lives.
I wish each one of you to be strong and to stand up to the situation, even though you have many thoughts and feelings.
